The Sound Art Chair

Please find here an update on this project - sponsored by DCASE. The recording that was made with the Lakeshore Rush - recorded and edited at Experimental Sound Studio - is to the right. The picture is of the painting by Anna Kunz that is the inspiration for this project.

Below are sketches and the current mock up of the Sound Art Chair and music stand that will hold the painting in a plexiglass holder.

This is a sketch of the chair. The transducer will be attached to the back of the chair.

This is a concept for the “music stand” that will contain the painting - held within plexiglass so the sun filters through the watercolor.

This is a mock up of the chair - inspired by the rocking chair behind it. (The horizontal boards on the back of the chair are temporary - for holding the curved vertical boards.)
